緣起

『瘋 神 紀』~fun

元太道堂主神太乙真人(太乙救苦天尊)師尊對「道」字的意義作了如下的開示:「道」字右邊是首，左邊是辵(走)。首有頭髮、肩膀、自、身、口、目;走代表雙腳，表示自己的頭腦帶自己的身體走人生的「道路」。

有感於世衰道微、人心不古，為闡揚聖道，傳循古儀，元太道堂眾弟子奉太乙師尊之命，依元始天尊「慈愛世界行」教化人心之慈諭創辦「道」教學院。恭承太乙師尊殷殷指導，垂示方法，乃多方徵詢道教界先進及各界賢達之建言，於民國105年春著手擬訂籌設「元太道教學院」之計畫。

循序漸進、逐步栽培為學校教育之宗旨，元太道教學院為全國首創從小學開始，向上延伸到大學、研究所階段的道教教育機構。其教育時程依序分為以下六個階段:道引、道入、道宣、道揚、道領、道呈道教學院要教學生如何走出自己一生精采的路。來此，學生可以學習找到自己想要的，由自己去體驗證實。

知識分享、終身學習更為社會教育之宗旨(老泉院區)，由淺入深，幫助信眾按次第學習，終身投入道教的修行與理念推廣。本著引導入門、知識分享的精神，按表操課，幫助學員習得山、醫、命、卜、相的入門知識，不再走冤枉路，浪費時間再學習非秘之秘。並有完善的補課系統，學員不漏失任何想學的知識。

本學院以「慈愛」為本，以「全世界」為對象，是元始天尊民國99年下頒聖旨「慈愛世界行」極為重要的部份。我們秉持人類一家眾生平等的原則，志在傳揚道家(教)智慧利濟四方。使天下人人「道法自然.德行天下.經綸行持─道」。

Origin

Explanation of the Meaning of "Dao" by Yuanta Dao Hall’s Main Deity, Taiyi Zhenren (Taiyi Savior of Suffering Tianzun) Master Taiyi provided the following insight into the meaning of the character "Dao" (道):

On the right side of the character is 首 (head), symbolizing hair, shoulders, the self (自), the body, mouth, and eyes.

On the left side is 辵 (walk), representing two feet. Together, they signify that one’s mind guides the body along the “path of life” (道路).

Founding of the Dao Academy Moved by the decline of the world, the weakening of the Dao, and the loss of morality in human hearts, the disciples of Yuanta Dao Hall, under the command of Master Taiyi, established the Dao Academy to propagate the sacred Dao and preserve ancient rituals. This was in alignment with the compassionate teaching of Yuanshi Tianzun to "Act with Love and Compassion toward the World."

With Master Taiyi's earnest guidance and detailed instructions, the academy’s planning began in the spring of 2016 after seeking advice from Daoist leaders and experts from various fields.

Educational Mission The Dao Academy is the first of its kind in the nation, offering a structured Daoist curriculum starting from elementary education and extending to university and graduate levels. The program is divided into six stages: Dao Introduction, Dao Entry, Dao Dissemination, Dao Promotion, Dao Leadership, and Dao Fulfillment.

The academy’s purpose is to teach students how to forge an extraordinary path in life. Here, students can discover their true aspirations and personally validate them through experience.

Lifelong Learning and Social Education At the Laoquan Campus, the academy emphasizes knowledge sharing and lifelong learning. The curriculum progresses gradually, enabling followers to deepen their understanding of Daoist practice and philosophy step by step. With a structured approach, the academy helps students gain foundational knowledge in geomancy (山), medicine (醫), fate (命), divination (卜), and physiognomy (相), avoiding wasted time on ineffective learning. A comprehensive makeup system ensures no knowledge is missed by any learner.

Core Values The academy is founded on the principle of "compassion" and serves a global audience. It fulfills an essential part of the sacred edict “Act with Love and Compassion toward the World,” issued by Yuanshi Tianzun in 2010.

Adhering to the principle of equality among all beings and the unity of humanity, the academy seeks to spread the wisdom of Daoism for the benefit of all. Its vision is to enable everyone to embody the principles of Dao: “Dao Follows Nature, Virtue Reaches the World, Governance with Wisdom—Dao.”
